“ Without the work of Pdap I honestly do now who, what or where I would be today.
…Pdap is a lifeline, Pdap is someone who cares, who believes in you and who is always there. In a world of such scariness and fear Pdap give the hope, they give you the reassurances that you will get through this and throughout every step of the way they are there cheering you on, holding your hand whilst showing you the way. The knowledge and different things I have learned throughout my time in service will undoubtedly make my future safe, positive, bright and fear free. I have learnt things that have saved my life and will continue to do so. In a dark, lonely world Pdap brings hope and light they believe in your so much you know you can believe in yourself.
I have found the light at the end of a long, dark and very scary tunnel and I couldn’t be happier, my life is my own and I am the happiest I have ever been. Me and my daughter are now safe forever, from the bottom of my heart thank you, thank you for saving me.”

We are grateful to our patron Lena Headey for highlighting the impact that Covid has had on victims of domestic abuse (see video) and are currently fundraising for our live chat service which we launched during the pandemic.
This has been a lifeline to many victims of domestic abuse who have been unable to contact us in any other way.

- £10 could buy a change of clothes for someone moving into refuge.
- £20 could buy milk powder and a nappy parcel for a family moving into refuge

- £60 could support a survivor’s healing and buy two sessions with a counsellor
